Common questions

What does the app do? It helps a couple pay off joint debts with snowball or avalanche payoff, and tracks bills, payments, income, and goals on a shared calendar.

Do I need an account? No. You only need to be signed in to iCloud. The app requires iOS 27 or later.

How do I share my plan with my partner? Invite your partner from inside the app. They accept the iCloud invitation on their phone.

Can I keep something private? Yes. Any debt, bill, payment, or income item can be marked private. Private items stay in your iCloud and never reach your partner.

Does it connect to my bank? No. You enter your own numbers.

How do I move from Bills Organizer? Settings → Import from Bills Organizer, then choose the exported .realm file.

Is my data backed up? Yes. The app backs up to your private iCloud about every six hours when iCloud is available. Settings shows the last backup time. A reinstall on an empty phone restores it.

Reminders or widgets aren't updating. Check that notifications are allowed for Free Together in iPhone Settings, and that the app lock is not hiding the widget (locked widgets show only an unlock message).
