Free Together is a couples debt-payoff and bill calendar for iPhone. The same text is inside the app under Settings → Privacy.

What you enter

Free Together stores the debts, bills, payments, income, goals, notes, and check-ins you type. It does not connect to a bank, a card, Plaid, or Apple FinanceKit. There is no account login besides iCloud.

Where it is stored

Your data lives on your phone and in your own iCloud (Apple CloudKit). We, the publisher, run no servers for this app and cannot see your data. Records are written to CloudKit as encrypted values. An automatic iCloud backup is kept in a private zone of your own iCloud and is used only to restore the app on a new or reinstalled phone. If you import from Bills Organizer, the file is read on your phone and nothing is uploaded to us.

Shared and private

New records start as shared. Shared records are the household plan you can share with one partner through an iCloud share. Private records are kept only in your iCloud, never shared. Your partner does not receive them, and they are left out of your partner's totals, projections, charts, widgets, icon badge, and reminders.

On this phone

An optional Face ID or passcode lock stays on the device; Face ID data is handled by iOS and never reaches the app or us. While the lock is on, the widgets show only an unlock message. Reminders, if you turn them on, are local notifications. The widget reads a snapshot this app writes for itself.

What we don't do

We don't sell this information. The app has no advertising, no tracking, and no third-party analytics. iCloud is operated by Apple under your Apple ID and is covered by Apple's privacy policy.

Deleting your data

Delete the app to remove the data on your phone. To remove iCloud data, use iPhone Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Free Together. Leaving the household deletes shared records on that phone and keeps your private ones.
